Delegates of NIMBLE project met up in Piteå (Sweden) on April 2-3 for testing and discussing about the future development/adaption steps for the Nimble Building B2B platform instance and to develop the strategy to attract some test suppliers. Host for the meeting was Lindbäcks , Lars Oskarsson and Podcomp, John Meiling.
From Balance Christian Norden participated and Reinhard Ahlers on-line together with Stefan Wellsandt, BIBA. From LTU Michael Nilsson and Diana Chroneer participated.
The first day focused on how to use the platform, what kind of information is needed and to be added regarding tracking and tracing. Second day focused more on the 3D configurator that will be shown at the next review meeting.
At the meeting LTU presented the Nimble definition of Platform Accelerators, i.e. “Accelerators in the NIMBLE platform are the activities, functions and tools that add value and support platform users in achieving their goals faster, more efficiently and at a lower cost”.
This was very useful in the discussion since we could start mapping the Eco-house platform goals along the value chain against that definition, based on the ‘Three Elements of a Successful Platform Strategy’:
- Connection: how easily others can plug into the platform to share and transact
- Gravity: how well the platform attracts participants, both producers and consumers
- Flow: how well the platform fosters the exchange and co-creation of value
